The Asheville Regional Airport is in the process of creating a new master plan, and this site exists to provide information and the opportunity for public comment.

The Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) last completed a comprehensive master plan in July 2001; however that plan quickly became obsolete after 9/11, when the aviation business dramatically changed.

The new airport master plan will provide an up-to-date comprehensive study of aviation demand forecasts, facility requirements and airport development alternatives needed to map the airport's future for the next 20 years and beyond!

The Asheville Regional Airport Authority selected Delta Airport Consultants, Inc. to conduct the study for the airport's new master plan. Delta's project managers, from their Charlotte office, lead a team of local and national firms with vast experience in airport planning, design, and construction. Services from local firms based in Buncombe and Henderson counties include major project components such as surveying and aerial mapping control.
